Social status is the best guarantee for being happy and feeling fulfilled in life. It literally trumps EVERYTHING else. Imagine being a famous talk show host or something like that:


- You can make new friends everywhere you go because of your fame and your storys to tell. You will never feel lonely because you will always have people, even if they're strangers, who care about how your life is going.

- No matter how your life turns out, people will respect you. They will say "Everyone has to go his own path", etc. All the shame and regret you might have, you can share it with other people and they will comfort you. It's 1000-times better than therapy.

- Of course, you can easily find a LTR or slay if you want. Status can mog looks in creating real attraction.

- Everything is life is about VALIDATION. How others perceive us. If the others like us, we feel happy. And we can get resources, friendship, romance, sex from them. Looks play a huge role for that. But status is even more important, as it automatically means you are liked by a large amount of people. Looks are not always a guarantee for that.


The only caveat is that status is very hard to achieve. Therefore, many here will rather try to improve their looks, which is understandable and a good thing. Just remember that if you would have social status, your life would be on easy mode no matter how you look. It is what it is ...

I would say if you're not ugly, looks and status can achieve the same in dating. Status can create real, raw attraction imo.
