What's a better career choice and what does have a better future? I honestly don't know what career should I choose (I like tech so both are ok but I want to know which of those 2 are better)

Goes on incel site to complain about being incel then unironically chooses the most incel career path to continue his inceldom

They are literally the same thing. Same jobs, 70% same courses just look at the curriculum jfl.

comp sci is going to become easier and easier to outsource tbh. You don’t even need a degree anymore to be one. A computer engineer as in computer hardware is a high paying job that involves the hardware aspect and seems to have more longevity to it.

Completely wrong. The fact that most people who do computer engineering go for software jobs is a testament.

If you are good at math and like abstract stuff then comp sci. If you just want to code then software engineering.

in the end CS has better possibilities but it's harder

You clearly don't work in the field.

Anyone who works on international projects dreads working with indians, they make better pasta than fucking italians.
The sphagetti code and overall negligence to best practices/code quality is astounding.

Literally last project, 5 out of 8 people from our european team dropped from the project because the indians make the work so unnecesarily complicated. Any outsourcing in my experience and my colleague experience has come to bite them in the ass and cause headaches.

I know I am generalising, but the experiences are mostly the same with everyone I have worked with, I would love for someone to explain me why that is. If I had to guess, its probably because, when outsourcing, the cheapest ones get the deal and in turn we get the shittiest end result.

How many times am I going to have to paste this
Idk man, I have 30% females in my uni course.

And I am already earning enough to hardmax.

Computer nerds are incels is an old meme, most good programmers I know are either absolute chads or absolute long haired-pony tailed basement dwellers no in between :feelsmage:

Most rotters/incels drop out pretty fast, the ones that stay are either the ones who are academically good or the ones who have been in their basment programming since 12.

Computer sciences as software engineering is just a branch of that. Multi role would get you more dough and more job opportunities. That's the way the market is going now.

If you are good looking with basic social skills you will not be made incel by a career, especially such a highly lucrative one.

I wish I knew how to code or had time to learn. I am ashamed to say that I am highly computer illiterate for my age - can barely navigate the site.

@PubertyMaxxer

again I’m talking about the future but you may be right. I’m going to be majoring in bioengineering anyways so I am not as well informed as I should be on the job prospects of comp sci. I was basing it on an article I had read by an economist and the logic that at some point, most jobs end up getting exported to countries where it’s possible to pay barely anything.

Computer Engineering is the better degree because you can go for both cs and comp hardware jobs.

yea that’s where all the stuff we talk about on here can be fixed imo. That’s my goal anyways. Both genetic engineering and biomedical engineering have a huge amount of future to them because the supply is still relatively low compared to comp sci although it’s getting more popular. In 10 years it will be like comp sci imo. U can always look at the government job projections for the field they probs have a decent idea but what I said above is my opinion

Or just be like me, im in a comp sci program doing a soft eng specialist degree. I will also probably do a psychology minor soon.
