Are there any downsides to taking an aromatase inhibitor alone for height? Aromatase inhibitors are used alongside growth hormone to increase height, but what happens when growth hormone isnt used? Theoretically it should still help you reach a higher adult height, since the growth plates fuse at a later time. Is that true in practice?
My major concern: Are there any facial downsides to taking an AI? Estrogen is crucial for bone density. Is it also important for bone development?
I ask this because the condyles of the mandible particularly seem to be very sensitive to estrogen (See: Idiopathic Condylar Resorption, a condition where your mandible resorbs backwards, heavily correlated with estrogen fluctuations). It is well-known that use of AI's will cause a loss in bone density and bone mass.
So, are AI's actually more dangerous to looksmaxxing than we realize? Or is this bone loss overblown? Is it worth using as a standalone treatment for delaying growth plate fusion?
