Are there any downsides to taking an aromatase inhibitor alone for height? Aromatase inhibitors are used alongside growth hormone to increase height, but what happens when growth hormone isnt used? Theoretically it should still help you reach a higher adult height, since the growth plates fuse at a later time. Is that true in practice?

My major concern: Are there any facial downsides to taking an AI? Estrogen is crucial for bone density. Is it also important for bone development?

I ask this because the condyles of the mandible particularly seem to be very sensitive to estrogen (See: Idiopathic Condylar Resorption, a condition where your mandible resorbs backwards, heavily correlated with estrogen fluctuations). It is well-known that use of AI's will cause a loss in bone density and bone mass.

So, are AI's actually more dangerous to looksmaxxing than we realize? Or is this bone loss overblown? Is it worth using as a standalone treatment for delaying growth plate fusion?

Is tanking estrogen risky for facial aesthetics?
AI solo might delay growth plate fusion but won’t do much without GH/IGF-1. You’re just giving yourself more time with no growth signal

What about your endogenous production of growth hormones?

Endogenous GH helps, but it’s usually not high enough post puberty to make AI monotherapy effective. If you’re early mid puberty and natty GH is solid, you might see minor gains. Past that, you need exogenous GH or GH secretagogues to make it worth.

Ok thanks that makes sense. Do you think using an AI is risky if your facial bones are in development?

Yes, but that’s the whole point people here are doing it, so they can have a bit more time to take hgh etc for actual effectiveness .

In puberty you can lose bone density and have some condylar issues, as the lower jaw moving backward, the chin and maxilla receding, and others

But if you keep your E2 levels >10-15pg/mL should be ok with no major issues, you can expect 1-2cm more with luck

This ideally have to be paired with Secretagogues or HGH itself, in this case the limit is your growth plates
