This is why I believe it was important for most incels to have built relationships since High School,that was the most crucial time during our life where we had the opportunity to build familiarity with people and potentially find a girlfriend,because back then we were forced to spend time with each other and build rapport until eventually even the nerdy outscats etc was seen as familiar.

This is just a weird theory I have idek if it makes sense,but essentially if you look at dating today for example because of technology the reason a lot people complain about getting ghosted etc is because we've all become disposable,we're no longer forced to spend time with each other and build any meaningful rapport,instead we're just pixels on apps

Edit : I'm basically saying that in high school ,even tho many girls may have found us to be ugly or whatever,they were forced to spend time with us due to environment and eventually find good things about us kinda like how OP described
