Sometimes I feel like I should just join the army. I might not make as much money as I do now, but at least the work has some sense of work-life balance. It’s not like I’m unfamiliar with that life — I’ve been in the infantry before and I know how to find happiness in the little things. I still remember drinking water that tasted like petrol and eating rock hard bread in the camps and still being content.

I wouldn't earn as much as I do now working in DevOps and staring at a screen all day but at least in the army, there's dignity in the work a clear purpose, and a certain level of respect unlike in tech where 90% of niggas think i am code monkey for some reason

There's structure, discipline, and a camaraderie that I miss it feels more meaningful than the constant deadlines and 24/7 availability in tech.

The army's honestly great we need more soldiers, and you'd make lifelong friends if you joined, just avoid getting deployed I used to want to be a soldier when I was younger I see the appeal tbh

If youre unsatisfied with your life at the moment id say the army is a good idea to wash off the civillian routine, you basically are gifted a new life, you can stay in the barracks so no extra money for food or housing, do what they tell you and you'll do good

Go for it bro u have nothing to lose, something like a year or two wouldnt make any actual difference in your life so why not give it a shot, I think every male should go through a hard period in his life, either trauma, abuse, heart break and many others, this makes someone tuffer in life and used to endure hardship. Wish you the best of luck camarade.

What is IBD? Dont you feel these tech jobs are boring and unfullfilling? Its like i am empty by the end of the day

What is IBD?
inflammatory bowel disease

depends on what u work on i suppose, my work has some meaningful impacts on society, i'm not just maintaining some website for example which i can imagine feels pointless

the jews say it is an "autoimmune disease", so they suppress my symptoms with expensive immunosuppressants because they dont actually know the cause

Just googled it. Apparently there is no cure. Brutal
technically removing the colon is the cure but then i have to shit in a bag on my stomach until they connect my small intestine to my rectum but even then ppl have rectitis and go back to the bag

Brootal. I hear that's the worse one of the two
crohns is generally worse since it affects the entire digestive tract whereas uc is specific to the colon

I am eternally thankful for having good health tbh. I might be nerfed in many ways but atleast this is one aspect in which i was blessed
