idk what to do anymore atp, my skin just got horrible after a clean shave, even after using a moisturizer or a exfoliant, i always get a lot of acne and redness, mainly on lips

learn to use a single blade razor, also you're not meant to use an exfoliant after shaving, shaving already rips off the surface of your skin and compromises your lipid barrier

consider changing up your shaving cream too, try using your normal cleanser if it can foam

im using exfoliant before shaving, maybe conditioner is a good choice ?

if by exfoliate you mean some sort of acid, you need to stop right now because your skin barrier is likely compromised and is why you have outbreaks (but then you'd probably have outbreaks all over and not just around your lips, so that part doesn't make sense to me)

have you been at a derm? also, how bad is the acne?

not that bad, my skin is perfect, but i get one pimple or two on the cheeks, but a lot of inflamattion on the lips, never been in the dermatologist bc of this

it's hard for me to guess why they're inflamed, you mean the signature bright red lips right? its either an allergic reaction to something you eat, a cold sore or something entirely else

i dont think you have anything to worry about if you get so little pimples, it's probably because you're being too harsh on your skin
