Sometimes I’ll go get a nice wine and maybe a nice cheese. I’ll come home to my bedroom and light a candle. Sometimes with a nice scent, other times scentless. I’ll put on a record. Usually orchestral. I’ll get into my bed, remove the cork from the wine and pour a glass. Usually in complete darkness. I’ll drink the wine, not like a wine connoisseur, but like a drunk. I’ll take a few bites of the cheese. Sometimes with some crackers. Then the main event. I cry and cry. I cry because the world is a sad place where sad things happen. I cry and cry until my head aches. Sometimes I’ll cry myself to sleep. Sometimes I’ll pray. These are sad times and I’m a sad body in a sad world living a sad life.
