The basketball courts, football stadium, the playground in most American uni are usually empty. People hardly even care about sports these days. College football, basketball games have low attendance consistently. No one cares anymore. The Saturday mlb games, every year looking forward for the super bowl, religiously following NBA fixtures and football transfers that culture has died. The only sport that is gaining traction is MMA and logan paul fights because it more fast paced and exciting with drama around it
Most people are just glued to their phones and Laptops using social media, watching anime/netflix, playing video games and harvesting cheap dopamine. The sports culture has long died and this isn't an American thing. It is happening worldwide.
