Started jaw exercising and now I keep biting my cheek

Recently started working on my jaw, chewing that expensive ass german jaw gum.
Well, now I'm catching myself biting my own cheek when eating. Never did that before. Why is this?

well if you eat some part of your cheeks you will probab end with hollow cheeks
