Started tret one week from now, skin hasn’t even purged, for anyone who’s used long term, is this normal?

For background I used adapalene for months and months before switching to tret and am only using a 0.5 concentration but in about a week or two it seems my skin has softened up and has sent my side profile higher. Also feel like it shrunk my nose a little bit, which ik isn’t very common for tret but I had extremely oily skin before.

That's normal. You were on adapalene before so your skin is already retinized, the switch to tret isn't as much of a shock as going from nothing to tret. Your purge will probably be mild or nonexistent because adapalene already cleared out most of what was under the surface. The skin softening and reduced oiliness is the tret working, that's what it does. The nose looking smaller is probably from the reduced swelling and oiliness in the skin making everything sit tighter or sum.

If it helped I'd appreciate if u could mark as a solution( ☑ not the thumb ) ❤️
