For example Topical tretinoin mainly speeds up skin cell turnover and helps prevent clogged pores. Oral isotretinoin does so much more: it dramatically suppresses sebum production (often by ~80–90%), shrinks sebaceous gland activity, reduces C. acnes, and lowers inflammation, all at the same time. You just take the pill to your meal everyday and stick with it.

This is also why isotretinoin can produce long-term remissions. Studies have shown that sebum production can remain significantly reduced for months and in some patients well over a year—after treatment ends, helping explain its lasting effects.

If your dermatologist has already decided you’re a acne candidate, I don’t see the point of obsessing over “cope creams,” with cope methods and trying to perfect a routine. I’d rather focus on finding the perfect isotretinoin dose, than spend years chasing incremental improvements from topicals.

Stop overcomplicating acne treatment. Keep it simple and stick with it.

obviously isotretinoin works better for more people however tret has less sides and whatnot I prefer tret as of now both are great though I wouldn’t consider tret to be a cope by any means at all
