Straight to wavy hair

Does anyone have some good tips on going from straight to wavy/slightly curly hair? I’m fine with it being temporary.

Preferably methods that don’t damage your hair like heat or perm…

they're not as harsh as an irons, damage should be minimal, but yeah still possible.
