stupid hairloss question, just curious what the answer is

When you are on finasteride or dutasteride you are at female level DHT levels. So how come I can still lose hair on these drugs and say my sister would not? is it just females can't genetically bald and has nothing to do with DHT? Or if a girl had extreme levels of DHT would she go bald

Finasteride will never get you to female levels of DHT, but dutasteride will. Some people still lose hair on dutasteride/finasteride because men simply have about 10-15x the amount testosterone compared to women. Although testosterone is nowhere near as damaging as DHT to the hair follicles, it can still cause a lot of damage to people who have sensitive androgen receptors on their scalp.

This is also I have NEVER seen anyone lose grounds when they are on dutasteride + RU58841, as the former takes care of the DHT and the latter is able to outcompete testosterone in terms of binding affinity.

Testosterone also effects hair loss just to a lesser extent for most men. Only way to keep hair is to fully transition.

That is a solid stack since the RU will address some of the residual DHT and testosterone, creating a environment that will facilitate the results of the minoxidil. Also add in micro needling, it nearly doubles the effectiveness of minoxidil.
