The best therapy teacher I have come across mentioned that he got over his social anxiety completely by LUCK and events in his life working out really well as compared to his childhood where things were terrible. However it took him a long time.
Modern stupid-cels make it sound like they control the world around them and have absolute control over their emotions (which they do from a good childhood) and if you have an issue with your mental framework their initial assumption is to hate the fuck out of you regardless of your aesthetics.
