for $5.

This worked for me, but can't guarantee it will work for everyone. it is worth a try though. obviously my hair is thin as shit still, and this won't fix your balding issue. but it can make it look better

Strategy:
used this black girl hair relaxer stuff from walmart.

Did everything as the box said. left in the hair for 13 mins, rinsed it out, used the provided shampoo and conditioner. Apply it like conditioner, put on hair and pull towards ends, dont massage into scalp. I used better cleaning gloves, the tight vinyl kind, instead of the shitty frycook kind that comes in the box.

Caveats:
the straight hair shows more scalp if you have thin areas. apply a root cover spray that matches your hair color to the thin areas before styling.

im hoping it helps some people out. i asked for help with this issue before and a lot of others have it, but no one had a solution

definitely, but now its within "normal" territory where standard conditioners and what not should actually have an impact. i'll update the thread as it either improves or the effects deteriorate

Have you tried leave in conditioner
yeah. works for most people, definitely a good plug, but not for me. it gives me this texture. it looks ok in photos but really bad quality in person
