That is not completely true. Sugar metabolism requires very good thyroid function, co2, b vitamins and minerals. Inefficient sugar metabolism is bad because it produces less energy but no co2, therefore fat metabolism (beta oxidation) is better in this situation because it produces the most cellular energy (ATP) but still produces low co2. Complete sugar metabolism (oxidative metabolism) is better because it produces more energy (ATP) and co2 with less oxygen compared to fat (beta) oxidation, therefore oxidative metabolism is better not only for using less oxygen (less oxidative stress) but also for producing energy quicker.sugar reduces collagen and T
