I live in Germany, I can't imagine how difficult it must be in the U.S.
I searched for therapists and most say you have to wait for months (not even weeks, months). I contacted some churches to see if you can talk to pastors or so and even these fuckers say you need to make an appointment (they still need to tell me when they are free). I searched for support groups where you can talk with others and there's barely one for people in my situation, it's full of groups for LGBT, immigrants, women, middle-aged men. I even called the suicide hotline in the past just to talk to someone and no one responded jfl.
Brutal ngl, at least I feel better since I cut off contact with my family, yet it's weird how all these messages about "Take care of your mental halth!!!" are spread everywhere but actual support is difficult to find.
