What is this forums opinion on swimming as a sport?
It seems ultra underrated as a very enjoyable and unique way to train every muscle in your body, plus most areas let you take a steambath or whatever afterwards for even greater effect.

The only negatives that I can think of are:
1.) It takes some amount of effort to show yourself half naked in public
2.) The chlorine in the water could potentially be bad for your skin

Other than that it's super cheap, there is nothing else that feels like being and moving in water and it has a multitude of health benefits as a form of excercise.

don't expect any gains from swimming.

I plan on swimming more soon, only type of cardio I would ever do on a regular basis. The Chlorine is an issue, but if you use a cap and don't stay in too long it shouln't be as much of an issue.

I had a friend who used to be very fat, obese even and his face was awful as well. Before he hit puberty he started going to swimming lessons. But professionally. He didn't skip even a single lesson and started participating in competitions as well. He also did not cut any calories but his mom tried to make him eat meals rich in proteins and ensured that he never skipped the part of the meal rich in proteins. Note that I used to look better than him just 1 year before. I saw him just a year after and the change was unbelieveable tbh XD Well long story short he is now chad and gets all the girls why I am rotting here(but after 8 years he is still swimming competitively though, he didn't stop). Its legit the best sport if you haven't hit puberty yet. I can even say that even his facial bone structure changed, not just fat loss. Swimmaxing should be a looksmax of its own if you haven't hit puberty yet.

It's also cringe to swim, and socially unusual. Unless you're planning to do something like Kite/Windsurfing or scuba diving. I also agree with the above sentiment that chlorine is not only bad for the skin but likely toxic for your bodily systems.

I used to swim competitively in my teens and its pretty healthy and good for developing the ideal swimmer body. Only problem with swimming compared to basic gym is you need to push yourself hard. Since am guessing you don't have a coach to push you it will take some self-discipline to get the most out of your workouts. But overall I think its better than running for cardio but worse if you just want size.

How old was he when he started? I'm 15 now but I have late/weak puberty or even haven't started. So, it could be legit Swimmaxing for me along with roids.

its good for cardio. go for it if you are leanmaxxing but yes you won't build any muscle from swimming alone.

I wear contacts and fraud with 1 inch lifts so pools are a no go for me :feelswhy:
