Spreading misinformation.
There's this thing called "averageness". An average face width and and average face height is what you need. If the face is too short, too tall, too narrow or too wide, it deviates too much from the mean and it's unattractive.
Francisco Lachowski's face shape is very close to average.

I ve done a lot of tests asking women.
For a man it’s better to have long face, wide face are less attractive.

Some women say they prefer the opposite of their face. I've heard and read about women saying they want a longer/slim face when they themselves have a very wide face. I think the reason for this is that subconsciously they want to create a balanced offspring not too long and not too square. So it may be depend on the women as well, not sure if it is a general trait.
