The vertical component of midface ratio is the vertical distance between the pupils’ centers and the upper lip’s top border.

The middle third of the face is different: the middle of the eyebrows (or the top of the eyelids) to the bottom of the nose.

Masculine facial thirds are not equal in height; masc moggers’ lower thirds take ~40% of their faces’ heights. It’s ideal to have unbalanced facial thirds, under the current, gynocentric, neotenous definition of the thirds (equal thirds are ideal for women).

What if we define the thirds in a masculine way so men can have equal facial thirds without being MtF material?

The middle third should be measured the same as the midface. The middle of the pupils to the top of the upper lip. And all 3 thirds would be of the same height, making the chin tall and masculine in balanced facial thirds.

This redefinition of the middle 2 boundary lines’ positions also makes the upper third go downwards—as the middle third’s upper border lowers from the brows down to the pupils—which raises (or, physically speaking, lowers) the standards of the ideal hairline. Low hairlines are ideal.

Everybody already knows.
Ideally lower 1/3 is a bit taller. And middle 1/3 is Ideally a bit more compact.
1/3 theory ia not an exact science ratio. Alao, imo more applicable to women.

I would be interested to know if the average of attractive men's thirds is closer to 3:3:3 or 3:3:4

Lorenzo zurzolo's lower third is a bit taller than his middle third but they're almost equal. His facial thirds are haloed by his short forehead. If he goes bald it will be over.
