It already is happening. No one wants to take the feminine role anymore (raising kids, being submissive etc...). Eventually people won't even want to grow babies inside them because growing them in plastic bags will be much safer and less painful.



Eventually (in thousands of year probably) technology will get so advanced that people will create biological robots capable of growing babies inside them. People will have completely mastered their own biology instead of being controlled by it like we are now.

feminine = giving birth/ nurturing children. Masculine = providing dna/ and acquiring recourses.
In the far future (by the time humanity is a type 2 civilization). All "humans" will be dedicated to providing recourses, furthering humanity etc... The role of reproduction will be taken care of by technology in a way that is humane, safe and fulfilling. In fact, it will make our current society seem dystopian and brutal in contrast. A truly advanced race does not waste its emotional and physical energy on such basic things.

Problem with that theory is that all alien concepts or humanoids have male/female hierarchy, and these races are millions of years more advanced.
