Look. The teeth are 1cm above your midface if you have sfs. the lower maxilla is too far up in the face. You pull it down a bit so the teeth are directly in the height level of the philtrum. The philtrum doesnt lenghten.

Are you not able to visualise this? This is not a concept, this is like basic geometry. After a point, once your occlusal plane is pretty much horizontal, any more CCW rotation of the maxilla will ADD vertical length to the midface (but the mandible will rotate too, making the chin very short vertically)
