Before I get into the 2 causes, let me preface by explaining how hair grows. Your hair follicles go through a 3 phase cycle: Anagen(growth), catagen(transition), and telogen(rest).
The anagen phase lasts 2-6 years, the catagen a few months, and the telogen a few weeks to a year.
In the anagen phase the hair is simply growing normally. Over the catagen phase the hair stops growing and the follicle narrows. And in the telogen phase the follicle is dormant
Now here's the key. Over each cycle you will inevitably lose some follicles, but the magnitude of the loss is determined by the 2 causes.
The 1st cause is very obvious, DHT, take two brothers, put one on roids, he will have far more rapid hair loss.
The 2nd cause is what I will call redditor syndrome, a general unhealthiness, a diet full of soy libtard vegan seed oil crap, and a lifestyle of vidya, lack of sunlight, etc...
In the 1st cause the pattern of hair loss is typically a rapid norwooding of the temples, this is because the cycle becomes far more rapid with excess DHT, each cycle may have a nominal amount of hair loss, but the number of cycles per year increases.
In the 2nd cause the pattern is a diffuse thinning, and this is because the number of cycles is constant, but the number of follicles lost in each cycle is far higher, affecting the whole scalp.
So, yes, fixing vitamin deficiencies, being healthier and whatnot COULD fix hair-loss, but only if the reason for your hair loss is the 2nd cause which you would know because it manifests as a diffuse thinning. Obviously though fix both causes. Which does mean Dut/Fin at the end of the day.
