I as a child was always a Halo fanatic. I loved the bungie games and I always adored Martin O Donnell's work. I did like O'Neils work in Halo 4 and likewise with Kazuma Jinnouchi's work in 5 and 4. The ost never failed for me. Yet I think the best track in the entire game is "Rue And Woe".
It is a track from Halo 2 that played during the last cutscene when Dervish stops Tartarus. I always liked the somber tone of the song, I think it uses the same motif as the covenant suite aka the song that plays during the opening cutscene when we first see high charity. I know other people will say halo reach has the best ost but in reality it is the laziest soundtrack that Martin did. He said himself but even then he composed the soundtrack so well, people would not notice. I did but I still love it as most of the songs were just motif rehashes of "Respite, Rue and Woe and Opening Suite" which is really nice.
