Obviously, ur inhibition is practically hardwired from birth and development, and there's not really any guaranteed way of changing it. (Excluding drugs, alcohol)

But what I've found is the best fraud (if you must say) for inhibition is finding topics you're more comfortable speaking on.
Think of the typical weird kid nerding out, but instead just being more familiar with the popular norms.
This is where my advice comes into play. You have to notice what's popular amidst the crowd ur trying to fit in, and familiarize yourself with the topics.
Some personal examples -
Sports, in particular, fantasy football during this season
Popular normie video games (Fortnite, Siege)
Mobile games such as Clash Royale ( seems like there's been an insurgence of popularity within the Supercell games as of late)

These 3 topics are very popular (at least from where I'm from) and are brought up very often. Making it really easy for me to add to the conversation whenever.

Tldr - Since normies are the lowest inhib, just familiarize yourself with popular normie activities to be able to join discussions with them as often as possible.

I'd say this is pretty obvious, this is for guys, don't try to join girls' conversations like this or you'll be seen as gay.

Depends, especially with the setting you're in. But overall, you're pretty much right

idk where this is coming from i'd say its way more about environment than it is genetics, however if you've experienced a lot of social rejection throughout your childhood then it'll defo be hard to decrease your social inhibition

if you fix whatever was causing said social rejection and start getting positive reinforcement then inhib will decrease as time goes on usually

development,
Ages of human development are typically grouped into stages, including newborn (birth to 3 months), infant (3 to 12 months), preschooler (3 to 5 years), school-aged (5 to 12 years).
I mentioned development right after saying birth man

sorry, missed you said that but my point still stands. i don't see why inhib wouldn't be able to be decreased past development, esp during late teens/early 20s when neuroplasticity is still high

im not trying to be rude at all but I started with
ur inhibition is practically hardwired
which I'd say fits well with what you're saying. Obviously, u can overcome social rejection, but including ur genetics and developmental years, it will be difficult from all the past experiences

i mean for me personally i went from LTN with very nerdy interests to MTN with a few normie interests. this combined w the practice i've had w social interactions on anxiolytics has made my social inhib signficantly lower. im not nt either so for people who are they could probably lower their inhib even more than i have
