The DOWNSIDES of Living in the USA

1. Healthcare
Unless you are rich goodluck with healtcare, Yes the rumors are true US healthcare is very expensive. Some insurances dont cover everything. And even if you ahve the money and want to go to a hospital, it can take months to wait for your appointment. Also in my opinion since the health is mostly owned by private companies I find the total healthcare system very messy, so much hospitals by different companies it can be messy to just choose the one for you.
I've lived in the UK for most my life and now I live in America and I actually prefer American health care.

Universal healthcare sounds great in theory but isn't what you expect it to be in reality.

The NHS (the UK's "free" healthcare provider) has lots of downsides. The wait times are huge. The quality of healthcare itself isn't even that good. They don't really care about you and if you want actual good healthcare to care for some serious illness you're expected to buy private healthcare. If you switch to private healthcare you still have to pay for the universal healthcare too :lul:

American healthcare is more expensive, but also better. The US conducts the worlds medical research and is the first country to use/have newly released technology/medicine. Wait times are obviously much shorter and overall quality is much better.

I can't speak for everyone but id personally rather pay more for healthcare that actually works and you can get treated quickly than the shit the UK had to offer.

I agree with you. But the problem is insurance and medical costs are really high. Of course if you have the money and you are an individual who lives by themselves and can spend that money for yourself in healthcare . But I know many people who avoid paying insurance or avoid going to the hospital because of the bills even for simple visits. If not looking at the price America probabaly has the best healthcare

These are issues for me personally. For majority of the people they have enough money for a car. Not everyone but a lot do. Also these are some things I’d fix if I could
What car do you own?

I like the US aesthetic so much so it’s hard for me to leave

not disclosing that, but yea the usa aesthetic is pretty cool but for me its even cooler in cities like Seattle, Washington D.C. and Miami. Best cities in my opinion.

This is fair

The diversity is really starting to become more and more noticeable where I live, so many signs in Spanish. Commercials in only Spanish and even some in Indian

Absolutely radicalizing

Just ruining the USA identity. But I will say atleast a lot of the mexicans are respectful. PLUS a lot of mexicans are white and majority of them are catholic and chrisitain so thats cool

Ok, I agree to a extent. But unfortunately getting rid of all of them is going to be impossible and it just won’t be done. But does this apply to all immigrants or just some if so which ones?

*Before I list my things I think are some downsides about living in the USA, I want to say that this is a great country with great oppurtunities and is one of the best countries in the world to live in (some states/cities maybe not) And many people on this forum are not from the USA and are intrested about this country if its really that good. But still its impossible for a country to just be perfect. Every country has its flaws. I can make a list of flaws for every country if I were to live in them. But I reside in the USA so I will make this about the USA.

1. Healthcare

Also in my opinion since the health is mostly owned by private companies I find the total healthcare system very messy, so much hospitals by different companies it can be messy to just choose the one for you.

2. Public Transportation
In big cities public transportation is normal (although ive heard not so good things about it especially the nyc metro xd) but if you are in a city that isnt apart of a metropolitian or is a city under 500k population public transportation is eithier nnon existent or is really bad. For example in my city I have about 100k people living in it and they have only one bus for like the whole city. And even that bus rides along 2 streets not even the whole city.

3. Everything is so far away
Places like a store, hospitals, parks, libraries, schools, etc tend to be far away and with the bad public transportation youll most likely need a car (Capitalism Classic 😎) Stuff like this gets very annoying like driving 30 mins to school or 20 mins to a store just pmo

4. Education System
In my personal Experience school was really bad, especially highscool. Kids would scream in class, vape, be on their phones, yell at teachers, and just not respect the educational environment. Now I understand that all of those stuff can happen in other countries and they probabaly do, but what makes the US educational system even more shitty is the fact that they teach 2-3 years behind compared to other 1st world countries in europe/asia. If you arent in a advanced class in a public school goodluck with your learning. It just feels like anything government related isnt cared about or is spent money on.

Outliers
- Private schools (obvioulsy)
- Schools in rich areas (mostly white majority areas for some reason)
- Being in a advanced program in your school (still can experience disturbance)

5. The Diversity
This is probably just my opinion, but the diversity has gotten out of control. I can understand having a couple ethnic groups like the whites, blacks, and some mexicans. But sometimes it just gets too a point. Like the country dosent need that much diversity, making it more diverse will just have the country lose its identity. Just keep it to whites, blacks, and some mexicans. I know this could seem kind of racist but like its the hard truth, stuff like this ruins the country. The diversity causes more problems and makes the country responsible for more types of people.

6. Crime
The US isnt like a somalia type of country but ive noticed that most crime happens in the big cities and their metro area. In smaller cities crime is small and its relatively safe. But the bigger the city is the more uncomfortable it is to live there and to just do normal stuff. The fact that anyone can own a GUN should alarming. Sometimes you can see a person carry it with them to a restaurant or a store. Its safe except for big cities imo.

I really like the USA but these are just some stuff id considered to be flaws in the country.

A country can’t be perfect. That’s just the daily life stuff I don’t like. There are a lot of stuff that the us does politically and globally that I don’t like.
