Just follow what your heart says and avoid conflict. For hundreds of years people have tried to stablish a system of ethics, just to let society rule according to the ones who have more relevance. Doesn't matter what's good or not, think and realize if it's beneficial for you or not in the long run, if the answer is yes it's probably a good choice. I've realized how stupid all the ethics debates are in real life, we all lack principles to follow for each case. You don't have to be nice to everyone, neither the opposite. Think about all the moments people were not kind with you, they all had their reasons. So do you.

I always went about it the same tbh.

Obviously I wouldn’t do anything that would put me in jail, but for little things I always do them if they benefit me and I manage damage control for others (I try to not hurt people feelings, even tho sometimes is needed)

Being asocial is healthy, it's a defense mechanism I use against social *rejection*. I don't want to deal with others because it was never productive for me.
