The "I get stared at because I'm just androgynous looking" theory I cope with has been blown out the fucking window

I let my stubble grow proper thick and I still get stared at like I'm a fucking alien, I still get terrified looks from children literally stopping them dead in their tracks with my appearance, if I was getting stares because I'm androgynous looking surely letting my facial hair grow out would stop it right? Yet if anything it makes the stares worse...

If anything I get treated slightly better clean shaven
