Every video I see of Lebanon, whether it’s a travel vlog or documentary or whatever—its citizens are always so quick to say “we live in total harmony, everyone here loves each other—Muslim, Christian. It doesn’t matter here”
LOL. Aside from that obviously being a lie, it is so interesting seeing this sort of repetitive comment from the Lebanese citizens. They’re still collectively traumatized from the war and are deeply divided on religious grounds but want to put on a facade in order to have civility. It’s very sad actually but also interesting as an outsider.
