Gnostic simply means 'Knowledge' though interestingly, I also take the view that the 'light of lucifer' is knowledge itself. Knowledge that human beings are not supposed to know because it will make you insane and destroy you. This 'New Age' belief system that is cropping up all over the world is this 'knowledge' incarnate. It is a false light, one that is made to destroy and separate rather than create and bring together.

The New Age movement is something for Christians to watch out for. It will become very very convincing soon enough, though if you are doing the 'work' within your own mind and soul you shall not be deceived. They say the very same things that Satan promised Adam and Eve in the garden.
