At the risk of sounding like a 40 year old facebook parent, I honestly blame social media for a lot of things--TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and whatever else falls under that umbrella in particular. This generation feels so rotten and so blatantly mean and superficial, like the social equivalent of a fluorescently lit cubicle amongst a hundred other fluorescently lit cubicles if that makes sense. All the people who seem to be genuine or even act like it are just liars for the sake of virtue-signaling or convenience, or just self-obsessed retards who act nice to feel good about themselves and really just have their heads so far up their ass that they're incapable of recognizing the depths of their own narcissism and ego. Everyone is or wants to be a player, a cheater, a whore/slut, or a bully. Honestly, this is probably just be a part of human nature rather than being specific to social media, but either way I firmly believe that a huge percentage of humans and especially the modern generation are really just big unapologetic pieces of shit to fucking everyone. The only people I've ever met that are genuinely good are people that have experienced both struggle and the kindness of other people firsthand.

But I do think social media, death of community, death of religion has facilitated a culture that encourages the flourishing of the most destructive aspects of human nature

Who are the ones who made these hyper addictive social medias targeted towards kids who don’t know better? Probably some faggots at a consulting firm trying to optimize their profit margin for a new product without second thought as to the ramifications

Why is everyone so competitive and on edge these days? Probably because of the absurd wealth gap which results in most people being fucking poor

It’s the people that everything shoved up their asses that end up being self centered pieces of shits with no actual personality and egos. I sometimes can’t believe how people can be so unapologetic or arrogant to the point they can’t even see what their wrong doing was. Social media just made this shit worse, which gives these people a platform where they are supported, giving them a false illusion of their actions.
