THE ONLY GUIDE YOU'LL NEED FOR INSTAGRAMMAXXING

How I Instagrammaxxed and became popular in my area within a month

First Impression

Your profile should look clean and normal from the moment someone opens it. Use a simple username—avoid anything that looks like a gamertag, meme, or "incel" username. A good example is your first name and a shortened version of your last name, with an underscore if needed. Your profile picture should be a clear photo of yourself or at least something that looks good. Mine is just a photo of me in a gym elevator. For your bio, keep it simple. Mine is just my area, my age, and my Snapchat username. If you have an ethnic background, adding your flags can look good. Make sure your highlights and posts are organised and don't look messy. Try to keep your following-to-followers ratio around 1:0.5, with 1:0.75 being the highest I'd recommend. Once your profile is in order, you can move on to growing it.

Follow Method

Go through your friends' follower lists and follow the people who follow them. This has worked well for me, although follow-backs usually aren't instant. You should also follow the popular people in your area and then follow the people who follow them. Since I started doing this, it's become my main method. Aim for roughly a 60:40 ratio of girls to boys among the people you follow. Too many female followers can make you look like a man whore or gay, while too many male followers can make it seem like you don't talk to girls. Private accounts are usually easier to get follow-backs from because they've already looked through your profile before accepting your request. Instagram's suggested accounts are also useful because they're often people with lots of mutual followers, making follow-backs more likely.

Story Method

Having an active story makes a noticeable difference when you're following new people. I usually get more accepts and follow-backs whenever I have a story posted. Aim to post a story every one or two weeks. Keep it natural there's a fine line between candid and looking overly performative. I've only posted three photos of myself in my story: walking through a car park, drinking a coffee, and playing tennis. I've also posted things like steak with friends and city photos. On average, my stories get around 20–25 likes from girls. Most of the girls are rich, and they are all pretty attractive. But tbh i do think you need to be htn+ or mtn with a height halo to post pics of yourself.

Highlights

Keep two or three highlight reels.

  • 🪞 – Photos of yourself.
  • 🫂 – Friends, family, and social events.
  • 🏙️ – Landscapes, cities, food, and everything else.
I think emojis work better than words for highlight names.

Posts

I don't currently have any posts, but this is what I've noticed. Square portrait photos look the best. Every five photos should include at least two pictures of yourself. Music matters. If it doesn't match the photo, it ruins the aesthetic. I'd rather use no music at all. Keep captions simple. If you're abroad, use the country's flag. If you've had a night out or gone for food, something like "good steak and good friends" is enough. Use either one hashtag or none. If I had to use one, I'd go with #lifestyle. Don't shitpost, its for females or dork guys.

Other Things

I don't repost content because I don't want my reposts to link with my Instagram persona. I also manually approve tagged posts so only photos I like appear on my profile. If I don't think I look good in a tagged photo, I simply don't show it. Small details like these help keep your profile looking clean and consistent. Also comment on other peoples posts, just a simple emoji like a fire emoji or a simple phrase is good. Even if you have no irl connection, this may make them more inclined to comment on your stuff, like your stuff and then it makes you look like you have connections and know more people. The same goes for liking people's stories, especially girls. Like their stories of themselves, it will make them happy and you might be able to take it further from a simple like.
