Rules are a critical part of order. Rules are necessary and moral when the environment around you is moral.

But when the environment around you is morally bankrupt, why must you keep up this charade of “good morals”, when ppl around you no longer care?

The only way to live now that is sensible is to live without rules. Your morals are a self limiter that your competitors will not be so good in sharing. They will shed everything and throw everything out if it means reaching success. So why shouldn’t you?

Everything in our capitalistic society is a contest with a price tag. The race to getting a degree is a contest. The race to getting a house is a contest. The race to getting a GF is a contest. To race to validation is a contest. You can’t avoid it. Competition is everywhere and anywhere. So why be fair? Cheat if need be.

This would have many implications. I’ll list out some

- Get surgery.

Cheat your genetics. It’s no longer societally taboo to get surgery, due to nose jobs being normalized by the media. Go beyond nose jobs, get what you need. But don’t tell your competitors of what you got. Move away from your location and abandon those who knew the former you. Gaslight people and play off your changes as something you put no effort in getting. Say you went to the gym, or went through puberty, etc.

- Lie

Lie to others. Don’t tell them the truth unless you benefit. Lie against others. Slander against them, if you benefit. Start viewing trust and being truthful through the lens of cost and benefit. If there’s too much cost and little benefit, do what you must to avert that scenario.

- Don’t help others

Don’t create more competitors for yourself. This relates to gas lighting and lying. Give them false info and bundles of lies coated with hope and self improvement. Let them run off the road with your faulty advice. It’s better that they drive off the road and crash into a ditch, than to have them on the road with you competing for dominance.

- Manipulate

Manipulate others to your own self benefit. If you have to turn somebody against somebody else as a means to solidify power, do it. If you have to take advantage of someone’s emotional soft spot so they work for you and you only, do it and feel no remorse. Because they would do the same to you, if given the opportunity.

- Engage in activities for pleasure

enjoy yourself. Don’t limit yourself. Youth is not unlimited. Live in the fast lane. Because living in the slow lane no longer is followed or considered by society.

- fraud your looks

Post frauded photos. Cover up facial flaws with non noticeable amounts of makeup. Fraud your hairline, run cover up game if you need to. Fraud frame with big shirts and jackets.

Be immoral. Don’t use things been “frowned upon” by society as an excuse to not do it. Because they are only “frowned upon” in a sense that people look down on it as an insurance for it not happening to them. Obviously a society won’t endorse scamming, because the people who make up that society would be giving license to other people to scam them.

On an individual level, nobody has rules. If someone knows they’ll get away with scamming, they’ll always do it. Don’t think your friends will not scam you. Even your extended family will scam you or lie (such as cousins or aunts). The only ppl you can trust are close family And god.

You can cope around this and maintain your moral code, but as our society moves away from morals and more towards hedonistic chaos, you only are putting yourself into an ever more shrinking minority. Being a decent man, in an indecent time, will always fail. You will succumb to the pressure of pure pragmatism.

If someone is good they are a gem. But nobody is good anymore. 99% of people in my experience are only as good as long as they benefit and when being bad pays, they forget their entire world view and do wrongful acts

I'd never fuck over my friends.
I know all my friends since i was either 6 or since i was 11/12(start of highschool)
So years.

Even though we shittalk each other we'd never fuck each other over.

But in general i have no trouble lying or using others i dont care about lol

i dont agree that you shouldnt help anyone at all

what if a friend asks you? Of course if you help him and he never helps you shouldnt do it, but assuming he has your back why should you not cover for him?

Pragmatism is the word here. I've been thinking of this lately, i've stopped caring about moral principles in favor of benefit.
I used to be super honest about everything, now i'm not if being honest harms me.
If somebody accuses me of something i did and i know they can't prove it, i'll deny it even if they strongly suspect me if it benefits me.

There's been so many immoral things done against me that i've realized the evil/selfish guy rarely gets his punishment, rather he gets money and wins the favor of others, often people higher in social hierarchy and they get benefits.
Some people get mad because of this and this is where balance comes in.

You can't be always selfish or lie, you need to appear like you want to help and you need to be able to be trusted so you can lie to save yourself in a critical moment.

Seeming like the good guy when shit hits the fan instead of looking like a pathological liar is also very helpful.

Helping others is often indirectly helping yourself but sometimes it's just a waste of resources/time.
It's very situational what's good and bad.

The most important thing imo is to do what you know is good for you even if someone tries to say otherwise and not be evil on purpose.
Also there's no reason to not help someone you like as a person as long as there's no harm done to you.
This is often subjective though and again, situational.
