I learned this the other day and found it very interesting. "Kikel" is the yiddish word for circle. And they're called that because Jewish immigrants arriving at Ellis Island in the early 20th century were asked to sign immigration forms. Many who could not write in English refused to sign with an "X," as they associated that mark with the Christian cross. Instead, they drew a circle.

I remember learning about the origin not long ago and I've been using both iterations since. Kikel is just as convenient and funny as kike in certain scenarios.

lol never heard anyone call a Jew a "kikel". Gonna have to start using that.

man fuck them lmao most people in israel also don't use the + symbol cause it looks too close to a swastika 😂😭✌️

No, they dont use it because it looks too close to a cross. They actually use an alternative symbol in schools, too.
