America uses its military and economic might to impose a global economic model that benefits its citizen chiefly by making the $ the global currency and (insert variations of "making import goods cheap"). And because America can't use its economy to superimpose its will as good as it used to, its military must be always keep strong to do that.

In other words, if Americans think things are bad now, they will get worse if China/Russia/etc. takes over our position and the US Army can't get it back for us.

In the face of the falling rate of profit, increasingly unproductive works, ecological collapse etc. more people will recognize the falling of capitalism and America, but instead of trying to change things for the better, they just say : "Fuck, let's just threaten and exploit other countries more!"
