This is especially a reminder for teenagers and young adults just like me. You guys have no idea how close you can be to completely ruining your life one mistake, one bad day, one bad decision, one careless action can be enough to change everything forever.
I can tell you this from personal experience. Im not a violent person, nor do I have a particularly bad temper. Im actually very playful and usually dont take things too seriously. But when I was growing up, there were times when, for literally no reason at all, I would completely lose my shit. Whether it was with teachers, friends, or even when I used to play football competitively, I'd sometimes let my emotions get the better of me.
Afterwards, people would genuinely be like "Omg I would never have expected that from you"...
As I got older, I started telling myself that I simply couldn't allow that kind of behaviour anymore. I still occasionally let words fly out of my mouth when Im angry, but believe me, its nothing compared to how I used to be.
Yesterday, a friend of mine here at work completely lost his mind E X A C T L Y the way I used to. It was over something completely trivial something none of us would ever have expected from him. He ended up punching the dude, and now he's facing the police and potentially going to court. He's lost his job, and he may end up with a criminal record over one moment where he wasnt using his brain.
Thats the kind of shit that really makes you stop and think about life.
