I told myself I would dedicate a few years to looksmaxing, soft and hard looksmaxing (undergoing surgies), reach my peak and see where time leads me. If not rope. The hope of a better future is what keeps me alive essentially. I agree with you to a great extent, it's especially evident that genes is the single greateast factor in determining your facial structure, no questions asked. However to say that most of what you achieved is pre-determined by birth is an exaggeration. Take good grades for instance I find that to be more of a results of willpower/motivation/incentives - are those factor also determined by genetics or can it be contributed to their enviroment wich forced them push harder? (stricter parents, will to surpass classmate, securing a good job etc). Apparently there's no correlation with high iq and accademic success. Also, even though this is a seperate discussion IQ has been shown to increase over time as the education system has improved. Your genes are not completelly set in stone, see epigenetics.

While some suffer unfairly because of inherent trait which they had no part (their looks) others are glorfied for what was given to them at births and they had done absolutely nothing to deserve (their looks).
