Which is determined by your base bones.
Augmentation should be smooth and look as natural as possible. Imagine yourself as you are, just with a few more mm developed bones but it must be smooth

yea base allways matters but i wouldnt do implants if i didnt have a bad base to start with. Since the downsides just aint cutting it

I mean if u look at resoults it really depends on how many mm and if it follows armony and if its smooth or not and if there is implants show or not
Good product would improve even a sub3 imo

I mean i wouldnt mess with it if i didnt have a problem like any surgery. A sub3 is obv the one who needs it

hes saying the more gl u r, the less worth it implants r. theres progressively less failos 2 account 4. subhumans benefit from any minor change greatly. osteotomies follow the same rule.

I didn’t know that was mandatory, what u guys think? He said it does nothing it’s not a bit ideal but actually it’s never a good idea imo to get plates off
My ideal plans was to get infras in a second time and not together

I've always thought it's better to go conservative on an implant then add filler after if it wasn't enough for you. Seems like a better choice than going super big and then dealing with the funhouse circus of all the problems that come with implant show, skin sagging etc

Yea its just if its too small its useless, also its not really about how small either, its more about how it follows skin shape and slope

Wouldn’t far grafts be preferable after getting implants? If not, why? I see you mentioning filler.

Can’t he just design around the plates, make indentations? Or was is off the shelf implants?

I was focusing on bimax but no he said in any case u must get out plates

I gotta get in touch with Liam and understand what are the options
My plan was to get infras after but if it’s a problem then I must change plan but I’m not richcell and also I focused mainly on orthognatic and orthodontic so idk

I mean when you are in there its stupid to not take them out since foregin objects are allways a place for infections. And when you reopen the risk is introduced again to introduce bacteria so not taking them out is just a uneccessary risk for that, esp since leforte plates are so close to the wound when doing in intra oral meanikg the bacteria can reestablish itself fast if they enter

I think I can remember reading that metal can give post for the pathogens, and they can grow on it. What you say makes sense.

I mean when you are in there its stupid to not take them out since foregin objects are allways a place for infections.

Here's a topic. How soon after the Lefort or bimax can the plates be removed? On average how long does it take for the bone gap to regenerate?

Depends on the movements but at 6 months it should be fine, at 3 months for some already but you want to wait to atleast 6
