Boomers are obsessed with persistency and will always tell you to chase as much as possible.
For example:
Maybe it's because women were less slutty back then, but today that advice is laughably bad. Women instantly get turned all the way off if it even looks like you are slightly desperate or that you don't have other options.

In the modern world, persistency is only good if you can mask it very well so that you don't look like you're being persistent at all. If you can't do that, then don't even bother.
