...to be 'persistent'

Boomers are obsessed with persistency and will always tell you to chase as much as possible.

For example:
stand outside their window with a stereo and play their favourite song
I asked your mother to go on a date with me 20 times before she accepted
and other such anecdotes they spout on a regular basis.

Maybe it's because women were less slutty back then, but today that advice is laughably bad. Women instantly get turned all the way off if it even looks like you are slightly desperate or that you don't have other options.

Boomers even extend this crappy advice to the job market
don't leave the office until they give you a job
keep going back to every interview even if the company rejected you 10 times already
and other such sentiments they dish out to zoomers who are trying to get a job.

In the modern world, persistency is only good if you can mask it very well so that you don't look like you're being persistent at all. If you can't do that, then don't even bother.

Okay

Maybe it's because women were less slutty back then,
Foids were more slutty back then. Boomers were able to get away with being rizzless, because societies were more patriarchal in the 80's.
