There needs to be a feature to not allow/ delete pointless replies in threads

I actually hate it so much when someone decides to have a random arguement in my thread, which persuades the whole thread away from the original intent. Like I hate when someone takes up a whole page of replies on my thread with useless shit, which makes people stop reading and stop meaningful contributions. Pls let us do something. Like the only option would be just reposting the whole thread again, which is kinda spam. Please

If it's a serious thread then you could just report the posters of said replies for derailing the thread. I don't have faith users wouldn't abuse a feature like that to only show replies that conform to their views for example.
