I will never understand people who have pets; it seems like an extremely alien concept to me..

How selfish can you be to take an fucking random poor animal and force/condition it to stay locked up in your house like in a prison, and feed it on a schedule, as if it were in jail, just to have a creature that listens to your "yapping" and provides you with "emotional comfort" because you are too lonely and incapable of having a human being to do that..

Not to mention washing, smelling, cleaning up after it, taking it out for walks, etc. like wtf do you do with your free time bro.. There are some people or families who do not go on vacation or go out with friends, etc., because "who will stay with the animal and look after it at home?'' like bro wtf are you doing with your life..

I can partially understand this if you have a large space at a house in a rural area outside, where there is more space, or if you get dogs for practical reasons such as herding sheep vs. wolves, or you have a girlfriend and you get a pet to imitate the idea of responsibility for a future baby, but otherwise, I repeat, it seems totally alien to me..
