There’s an actual name for this, it’s called “water hardness”. It describes the amount of dissolved minerals such as calcium and magnesium in water, measured in parts per million (ppm)

Below 100ppm is soft water
Anything over 200pm is hard water

This is also why you sometime see limescale forming on taps. All those minerals are building up and forming a solid mass that can block pipes

Whereabouts are you? London water fucks up my hair because it has a crazy high mineral content, but other than that I have no issues. I'd imagine it's different in Scotland or Cumbria where water is purest.

I’ve heard about some ppl getting water fillers hooked up but they’re expensive I imagine
