Louvre Crown Jewels Stolen In Seven-Minute Heist
On the morning of October 19, 2025, the Louvre Museum in Paris—home to centuries of art and history—was rocked by a brazen heist that left France stunned and authorities…
Louvre heist: Amateurs, not professionals, carried out theft – DW – 11/02/2025
Security at the Louvre museum in Paris was outmaneuvered not by a team of professional thieves, but a group of local amateurs, authorities have said.
After the louvre heist, it was found that $102M worth of jewelery has been stolen in 7 minutes.
It was a 4 man operation, 2 people in the truck, 2 going inside. Funny thing is, this was NOT a well thought out, movie-like heist.
These guys literally just dressed up in vests, got a truck with an extension ladder, and got in without questions under the pretext that "they were doing construction work"
While inside, they originally planned to use grinders to get the jewelery from the hard glass, but it proved stubborn, so instead they rammed into the glass for a few minutes untill it finally gave in.
Apparently the security was watching them the entire time, but decided to not intervene and wait for the police to show up. The men got out seconds before the police got there and to this day haven't been found, and it's suspected that the jewelery has already been scrapped or sold.
This is probably one of the simplest heists in the last years, they took the "you can do anything with vests" meme and stole 100 million bucks with it

because they are. They just got insanely lucky that the security was more retarded than them
