Things I do as a shabbat observing Jew that may shock you.

1. Not use an electric door lock, the electrical circuit is considered lighting a fire so I cant do that.

2. Elavator use, since I live in a high rise I cannot use a standard elevator as I dont have a shabbos goy, we have a kosher elvator which stops at every floor that I can get off at.

3. Electronic timers almost all my electronics are turned on and off using a timer so that I dont turn them on and off myself.

4. Eruv, since we are not allowed to move objects between public and private spaces, we tie a large string around our neighborhood so that all of it is our private space.

5. Warming trays, they are used as we cant cook on shabbat so to keep food warm and not turn on electricity we keep it on all of shabbat
