I went to low-mid tier religious private schools from 7th-12th grade so I never knew what the public setting was like during the thick of adolescence but after being in state college for four years I’ve noticed that kids who only went to government schools are generally:

More wolflike

More shrewd and socially calculating

In a more intense social atmosphere

More unforgiving and disdainful towards people who they see as undesirable or unlike themselves

More hierarchical and tribal

Stricter about certain conformities such as property (brands and such), hobbies, interests, and socialization style

More attuned to certain things (some of them are superficial and some aren’t)

Maybe more racist, classist, lookist, ageist, and ableist

Trendier and honestly more attractive but that’s probably because of the caliber of the private schools I went to

Probably more NT

Looking back at high school I can tell who attended public or private school before then and the popular kids were more likely to be from public primary schools. I can also tell who transferred from what type of school during the middle of high school. But I was cooped up in the honors program with the same 30 or so kids and only had real contact with everyone else during lunch, gym, and extracurriculars so take this with a grain of salt.
