Skin
- about 2-3 weeks ago I had a breakout of pimples all over my face and it was that bad that the spots were painful. Now this was a mix of my - not poor - but incorrect hygiene. And also a factor of my bad diet.
- after having my breakout I did extensive research into skincare and discovered that skin quality is a direct consequence of both gut health and hygiene
- gut health + diet - after having my breakout and completing my research I began eating only whole foods - eggs, milk, meats, oats, sourdough bread. I’ve also completely cut out sugary foods, that’s not cutting out sugar as a whole but sugary and confectionery foods such as sweets, chocolates, fizzy drinks etc. I’d also recommend drinking at least 3 and a half litres of water per day
- hygiene - before and during my breakout my skincare routine consisted of - wash face - scrub face with exfoliator - rinse - moisturise. Now all I do is wash with cleanser and moisturise. I wash my hands before washing my face now and also do not touch my face unless completely necessary throughout the day.
The second image is what my skin looks like now and the first image is when I had my breakout. See the difference?
my skin still isn’t perfect but for a timeframe of only two and a bit weeks it’s very significant.
