applying 0.05% retin A 3-4 times a week is enough to keep a good collagen level and fight acne.

I use 0.1% Retin-A cream daily and I have no problems.

You just have to moisturize twice a day and use sunscreen. Also try to minimize other drying factors like hot showers, touching your face, etc.

I'm sure climate also has an effect.

Also, if you just started using it, you're obviously going to have a much stronger reaction initially. That's why they typically recommend starting out every other day until your skin gets used to it, then up it to every day.
