No man this doesnt prove exercise is bad, i can see where ur coming from but the study has too many issues, its just telling us that it (hypothesizes/assumes) that in pro athletes CAC is more common, that doesnt really prove anything
Pro athletes are under extreme exercise regemes and stress yeah. Everybody's heard a doctor say 'everything in moderation and thats true. If ur main goal is to live long exercise regularly but in moderation. Eat moderate amounts and a varied diet (soluble fibre binds to cholesterol in ur gut which is beneficial but in people staying lean and healthy weight differences arent that large) and just stay active lol.
 
The graph is not wrong though. Acute exercise is worthless, has no benefits and dosen't let your body adapt to the exercise. Acute exercise does age you

Graph makes no sense as 4-7 reps at 1 RIR for 1-2 sets is ideal for growth so your volume shouldnt be high anyways :lul::lul:

I mean if your goal is muscle growth the best thing you can do is train LOW volume (1-2 sets of <8 reps per exercise at 0-1 RIR) and high frequency (4-5x a week). Training everyday and doing like 4x15 for every exercise is going to be suboptimal for muscle growth as it will cause more muscle damage and cause psychological fatigue or “stress” and in turn be worse for you. Which is why educated lifters do low volume and do either 1 set of 0RIR or 2 of 1RIR to minimize muscle damage and fatigue. Training is okay and does help but training like a retard does not.
 

So what’s best for muscle growth also has the least fatigue / muscle damage. Overtraining is a thing and it is negative however I do not agree that ALL exercise is bad but there definitely is SOME evidence of certain exercise causing more harm than good.
 
unironically true. everyone i know whos into sports and exercising/gym dies at like 40. our bodies arent even designed to tolerate such stress. why would you purposefully do this to yourself. just walk a lot and maybe ride a bike

I just walk for 40-60 minutes and if there's time I'll lift some weights for 15-20 mins with rests
